If you see the message 'Please make sure COM Interop is installed', you must be thinking, "What in the world should I do?"
(Note: This message appears in Site > Settings > Till > Hardware.)
So here's the answer to your thought bubble.
- Verify that iconnect360 POS has been installed.
- Ensure User Account Control settings is Never Notify.
You can perform the above in any order... as long as you check them.
Verify that iconnect360 POS and Microsoft POS for .NET have been installed
- Select the Start
button.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Uninstall a program.
- Look for the program names "iConnect360 Point Of Service" and "Microsoft POS for .NET" as proof of installation.
- If you do not see the programs in the list, please follow the steps to configure POS for iconnect360.
Ensure User Account Control settings is Never Notify
- Select the Start
button.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select System and Security.
- Select Change User Account Control settings (under the section 'Action Center').
- Ensure the settings is Never notify. If not, drag the slider down.
- Select OK.
- If you have made changes, restart your computer.
(Optional) Ensure the Enable Protected Mode in Internet Explorer is unchecked
Note: This is an optional step. You might need to perform this step only if you still see the message 'Please make sure COM Interop is installed' after performing the aforementioned steps.
- Open Internet Explorer browser.
- Go to Internet Options > Security tab.
- Uncheck Enable Protected Mode under the Security level for this zone section.
- Select Apply.
- Select OK.
- If you have made changes, restart your Internet Explorer.
