Report filters let you control what information is included in a report. For example, you may only want to view a list of customers whose expired memberships still have billing issues.
Groupings allow you to clump similar information together. For example, a customer may have multiple memberships. If you select to Group by Customer's no. for a report listing all active customers, then the report will display all the memberships that the customer together.
The sorting function enables you to view the data in a more systematic chronological order. For example, a list of customers sorted according to customer's name in ascending order.
