The booking areas feature is only available to users of iconnect360 Standard. Contact our sales team at hello@iconnect360.com if you wish to upgrade your iconnect360 system.
An area is a physical space in your site in which an activity can occur. E.g. A meeting area where personal consultation for customers can be held or a studio that can be used for yoga or dance class. Areas can only be created at the site level as they are site specific.
For steps on how to add or change the selected area for a booking, see Managing bookings.
Create an area
- At the Site level, select Bookings > Areas.
- Select Add Area.
- Enter the Name for the area. E.g. Studio 1. The name must be unique, i.e. no duplication of an existing area name.
- (Optional) Enter a Description of the area.
- By default, the area’s Status is Active, which means it will be available for bookings once it has been created. If you wish for the area to be unavailable (inactive), select the Active toggle button to change it to Inactive.
- Select Next.
- Check the accuracy of the area details in the Summary page.
If you need to make any changes, select Back to return to the previous page. - Select Finish.
Change area details
Changing the area details will not impact any bookings that have already been assigned to that area.
- At the Site level, select Bookings > Areas.
- Select the area name.
- Select the Edit link.
- Make the necessary changes to the Name and Description.
- Select Save Changes.
Change the availability of an area
You may need to mark an area as inactive to temporarily close off an area for maintenance. However changing the status of the area will not change any bookings that have already been assigned to that area.
- At the Site level, select Bookings > Areas.
- Select the area name.
- In the area’s page, select the status symbol (next to the area’s name) and then select Active or Inactive from the dropdown list.
- In the pop-up window, select Yes.
