Applicable for all customers in all regions
If your customer is using a debit card ( or credit cards) for direct debits, please remind your customer to call their card issuing bank to check and if necessary, increase the 'card-not-present' transaction limit.
'Card-not-present' and 'Recurring' transactions
All recurring payments are processed using a standard method known as ‘card-not-present’.
Some Credit and most Debit card customers have the default account limit set at $0 for ‘card-not-present’ transactions.
Your customer's Visa or MasterCard Debit Card may not presently be set up to accept direct debit (or recurring) payments from Ezypay. Therefore, if your customer's Debit Card limit is set at $0, then their direct debit payments will be dishonoured by the bank although they do have sufficient funds available in their bank account. This would lead to failed payment in which a failed payment fee will be charged by Ezypay.
Resolve this in 3 easy steps
Your customer will need to perform the following action steps.
- Take out the Visa or MasterCard Debit / Credit Card and turn it over.
- Call the Card Services number stated on the back of the card. If there isn't one, call the Customer Service number and ask for Card Services.
- Ask the bank allow recurring and Card not present transactions from "Ezypay" and to increase the ‘card-not-present’ transaction limit to at least $2000. This will be more than adequate to cover any future debits.
