You need to have the Manage Additional Payment > Edit Additional Payment site permission to perform this task. See User and Roles.
You can only edit a future debit in the Customer's record > Payments tab that has not been processed.
Not all payment types can be changed from a customer’s bill. For example, you can edit the joining fee amount but not the load/setup fee.
A payment item that can be edited has an editable text field in the Amount column when the button is selected.
Here are the steps.
- In the debit's pop-up window, select the button.
- Enter a new amount for the payment item that you wish to change.
- Select an effective date from the date picker. Note the earliest payment date can be set to the following day.
- Enter the Notes section if applicable. For example, Admin Error.
- Select Save Changes.
- Select Close.
